    As I said earlier there are no regs against it, so do as you like. If you think it's OK then go ahead, but please tell me why would you take neutral to switch if wiring in conduit. Don't tell me you tube to the switch first !!:eek:

    There are no regs against it, Iwas taught no neutrals at switches unless double pole switches are used. I know it's easier sometimes but I always try to avoid it,plus I don't like connector blocks at sw's especially when you have dimmers (heat ). If you want to extend the circuit later ,you have...

    Apart from the missed neutral , that's the proper way to wire (3 plate) , I've been sparking for 35 years and I don't wire neutrals to switches,!

    Earthing back boxes..

    No need to earth back of box if you have one fixed lug is correct according to Niceic engineer. what about the reg that says all socket earths in separate terminals if they are to be used for computers, even at the DB!!
