Install new oven & induction hob to existing circuit

Just had a look at OSG (amd3, havent got latest to hand) and you are correct for assessment of load on a final circuit to use that formula, can't get 15kW though...I get 13.8 to 14.4 depending on which voltage you prefer (!) thats for 2 appliances on same circuit.

    Motor control for chicken house

Hi there, Thanks for your response, I probably posted before I thought enough about this! I derived my drawing from a standard reversing contactor diagram and the info that came with the motor/gearbox. Are you familiar with this sort of stuff? Am I on the right lines? The interlock mentioned...

    Motor control for chicken house

Ok here is another go, I rectified at least one mistake. The coil of the open contactor is energised via NC aux contacts of closed contactor and vice-versa, is this not interlocking? The doors themselves are lightweight plywood being winched up or lowered down under gravity, I doubt they could...

    Motor control for chicken house

Hi All, Due to unforseen circumstances I have inherited a chicken farmer as a customer. He has just taken on another free range egg unit and wishes to install motorised 'pop holes' so that he can remotely open and close the doors for the chickens via a GSM module.(there are also push buttons in...

What will the outcome be of my assessment?

I was recently on a job where an agricultural building which had been in use as a brewery and is now being converted to a dwelling was being wired for its new use as a dwelling. There was a freelance building inspector on site and I specifically asked him if Part M applied and he said no, put...
