    Time from Installation to MCS

Yes, I think you are right for initial installations rather than extensions.

    Time from Installation to MCS

I think my second post answers that point. You should NOT commission it formally as that starts a clock running.

    Time from Installation to MCS

If you do commission it, the MCS site says here: Microgeneration Certification Scheme - MCS Database "The MCS Database is used to generate an MCS Certificate for a customer’s installation; the certificate should be generated by the installer company within 10 working days of the installation...

    Time from Installation to MCS

As far as I know there is no particular limit on how long an install can take. So as long as you start but do not finish and commission it, then there can be a pause. One thing to watch out for is anticipating any forthcoming rule changes that become effective by the date you commission it...

    aaaaghhh

Crikey. My last assessment was only a few months ago and they have added a whole load of stuff since then. eg grid connection forms and new build house spreadsheet. It really has become onerous for a small company.

2 MPANS = 2 FiT applications, both at highest tariff, do you think so?

The OP talks of "a farm". You need to find something that differentiates the additional pv as a separate installation. The second mpan as has already been said will not be conclusive, but if you have a separate council tax for a lodge, or a clearly domestic and non-domestic mpan then you would...

    Schools and FiT's

Yes, I saw those three categories. I wonderered whether any PCCs had jumped through the hoops to set up a CIC to rent out spare rooms/facilities and operate the PV through that. Idle curiosity really. The problem is not sitting on my desk, but if I could offer them a suggestion I would.

    Schools and FiT's

Has anyone got an example of a CofE church installing PV and managing to fall in the community energy installation category and therefore only requiring EPC level G? One I think is about to give me the go-ahead seem resigned to getting a lower level of FIT.

I thought the fixed SPF of 2.5 for HPs installed before the domestic rhi scheme launched was a default, but you were able to submit evidence that your installation achieved better?

Availablity of natural gas is not relevant to claiming RHI. I hope it was properly commissioned and she got an MCS certificate.

Thanks for looking through that. They were the sections I alighted on. But I must be being slow tonight because it is still confusing me!

    Greg Barkers Tweet. RHI

I found myself going round in circles in the regulations. Can you point me to be bit that says no bi-valency HP/biomass? Does that also apply to commercial RHI? I see what you mean about thermal store. Although you could argue that by the time in the year solar thermal is producing anything...

    PV - Point of Interconnection

I believe 551.7.2.i is relevant for other generators, but not for PV as it is not allowed to be on the load side of a mcb of a shared final circuit (712.411.3.2.1.1). So you would have to blank off the other sockets on the ring if you want to use it, or turn it into a distribution circuit with...

Wrong standard set on Sunnyboy inverter

Depends on the DNO I expect. In WPDland where I am, they use this form: http://www.westernpower.co.uk/docs/connections/Generation/Application-for-Connection-Up-to-50kW-3-phase-Ty.aspx I could believe that others might write a letter. Following notification post commissioning, then around here...

    Annual inspection time

I thought some might be interested in my annual inspection by NAPIT. Got x6 NCs. One was silly because he arrived with it and it said not all NCs from previous year had been cleared. They had been, but not properly marked on the NAPIT computer, so he cleared them on the spot. The...

Wrong standard set on Sunnyboy inverter

Whether the installer did get permission is a another question. You would be wise as the customer to have and keep a copy of the DNO prior permission and DNO notification post commissioning.

Electricity NW about to vary the supply voltage - what effect on PV?

Why would reducing the voltage cause immersion heaters and light bulbs to burn out?
