It runs without the earth wire connected what do you think? the tray that's screwed on to hold the capacitors, i suppose i could connect the earth wire on one of those screws if need be? -

That's good i suppose, but 110v confuses me, i thought it was a 240v motor. so where would i wire the power supply to or the power cord? -
