Im considering leasing a new van before work destroys my car. Theres loads of deals available but i know zero about van leasing. Any advice or recommendations on what to look for welcome. Also recommendations on particular vans, preferably something that can take 3m length dado/trunking etc
cheers
I think you're right, its been years since I looked at transformer theory.
I understand the max voltage to earth being 50v because of the centre tap however what about the max line to line voltage on the 110v outputs? Presumably this isnt an issue otherwise 3phase transformers wouldnt be in use...
Would it not be better practice to keep all the transformers on the same phase? If they are on different phases wouldnt it mean the 110v outputs would be at different phases and therefore you could come in to contact with more than 110v? or am i overthinking this?
would it not be better practice to keep all the transformers on the same phase? Although the outputs are 110v if they are on different phases couldnt that make the potentials across the 110 outputs higher between transformers? or am I overthinking this?
I am setting up some temps on a small site consisting of approx 3 110 transformers 2 portacabins offices sitting on top of each other, a portacabin toilet and a portacabin drying room.
The supply is a 3 phase DB.
Im thinking use 1 phase for the trannys, 1 phase for the offices and the other...
I have a homework question which I hope you will help me with. Heres the scenario.
I am called to inspect a 2 way CCU (in a garage for example) connected via SWA to the main CCU in the house. I notice there are banjo type connectors where the SWA joins the CCUs however there are no earth...
Ive applied for literally dozens of electricians mates jobs but had no luck so far. Im hoping that getting my 17th edition exam behind me will open a few more doors. Does anyone know if its this thats holding me back?
New to this forum so not sure what to expect from it.
About me: 47 years old, used to be a mortgage adviser but due to several governments incompetencies, lost my job and career because as they're so fond of saying, "there's no money left".
Anyhow, three years ago I decided a career change was...
