The way i would do it is at the first switch connect neutrals, then live to L1 with the brown strapper, live to the lights with grey strapper in L2 and black as the common.

If it's an original BT master it should come in two parts, A & B are for the line in and you take slaves from the lower punchdown terminals 2,3&5. colours as above.
