Poor installation and botched alterations ruin anything and everything though.
A house I tested last year had bathroom shower and cooker joined together in a JB somewhere. Upstairs sockets off the lighting circuit. Utility room off ensuite shower in a JB somewhere. Immersion heater and...
They aren't interchangeable blades, they are a full set of screwdrivers.
I've a set of Wera with interchangeable blades that I next to never use, and the Armeg Torque Screwdriver has interchangeable blades that is next to never used used when required.
If you need a PZ1, PZ2 and a 4.0mm flat...
I don't really understand any of that, not that familiar with the Wylex unit but to get the cabling in there they'd have had the cover off, it has screws top left and bottom right. But the enclosure itself looks empty, there is no main switch or MCB's?
Also looks like a distinct lack of...
I find the Wiha and Wera ones ok, the CK and Bahco ones seemed to break if you looked at them the wrong way. I use Facom Expert at the minute, had my set for over 3 years and no breakages and still in top nick. Very comfortable to work with.
Did lose one of the 10 piece set no more than a...
Has the DHP481 been discontinued? Was having a nosy to compare prices of the two and it doesn't seem to readily available anymore and is mostly used units.
I got some through the week from wholesalers and was cheaper than Toolstation. Not by much, about 60p a coil, but also another 2.5% off that again for settlement payment when I pay the bill.
The DHP481 packs a lot more punch though, and that's what I need it for...would do 32mm holes in joists and 4" holes in ceilings on high speed with ease. It comes with a stupidly big handle for a reason😂
Don't use online much for materials, I find wholesalers better and generally cheaper!
My nearest wholesalers are over 20 miles away, so I'm dependant upon delivery. But they'll phone me on route and deliver it to where I want, rather than an address I specified a day or two ago. With my main...
I have the DHR202(brushed), DHR242(brushless), DHP458(brushed) and DHP481(brushless)...I feel like a bit of a Makita fan boy🤣🤣🤣
The DHP458 has been sick for a while and I need to fix it at some point, it's a good high torque drill and it's been thoroughly abused.
The DHR242 is a far better...
If retrofitting an oven and a hob most likely will find there is only a 1 gang box there at present. The dual cooker connection units I find are great to work with
With L-N reversed polarity it would have worked with the user unaware of the reverse polarity. Had the entire house been L-N reverse polarity then to the user everything would seem to be working as normal
Most likely find that there will be a plasterer involved anyway so if needing to cut a hole in the ceiling they should be able to patch that when they are on the job for little extra cost.
Seems very odd to not replace 4m of easily replaced cable when doing a full rewire. @verve01 how did you find out cable hadn't been replaced and what type of cable is it?
