10mm see protected by 60 switchfuse

Hi, I'd planned to use 10mm see to supply an annex protected by a Wylex 60a switchfuse. Cable calls suggest that 10mm swa ref method d is good for 60a, even when using the 70deg tables. Instructions with the Wylex switchfuse state that termination are only good for 16 to 35mm cables...

Shower EICR Code- 9.5kW- 40amp mcb!. De rate MCB to 32 or rewire cable to 10mm

Argument at work! on an EICR its common to find a 9.5kW shower wired in 6.0mm T/E with a 40 amp MCB. obviously a code 2 unless short run and clipped direct? Our argument is whether to down rate MCB to a 32amp or rewire the circuit in 10mm? I say ok to down rate the MCB as cable is 32amp IEE say...

    10mm meter tails 60amp fuse 6mm bond

Afternoon all been a while since I've posted. at today's job I noticed 10mm meter tails with 6mm bonding and although my first thoughts were tails should be min 16mm and bonding 10mm so at the risk of sounding stupid I couldn't find the exact reason why this was wrong as the 10mm would take...

A mate is clearing out his garage and asked me if I wanted 30 + metres of 10mm 4 core SWA on a wooden spool. LOL I don't know if I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth, or being a donkey carting 5 quids worth of scrap. Could I use it to power my shed ? 1. By just terminating one of the cores...

Single or Double Metal box for 10mm?

Hi all What's everyone's choice of box for connected two 10mm t&e for a shower or cooker circuit? IMO a single isolator in a kitchen looks smarter than a double isolator. However, it's easier to terminate in a double.

Lighting protection via 10mm bonding cable

So, I'll start by saying that my knowledge of the regulations surrounding lightning protection systems are limited, it simply isn't work that we as a company carry out as we leave it to the specialists.
