i’m looking for some advice about how I’d go about installing a 10kva 230-110v transformer and related sockets - would I require a consumer unit for the 110v sockets etc?
I’m wiring a new extension to an existing fabrication workshop and have made a quick drawing.
any other advice would be...

Hi all,
I have a charger that is fitted with a 240v rated 2p+E male inlet and a matching 240v rated female plug. However it is connected to a charger that is rated for 110V as it will be operated in the US. Is there an issue (if any) with supplying 110v Ac mains paired with the 240v rated plug...
just a quick question I’ve searched online but want to be sure before deciding what to do.
I am putting in a supply for x5 110v commando sockets in a workshop.
The commando sockets each have a internal 16amp double pole MCB inside the socket.
I’ve wired from the DB a 32amp 10mm2 supply to a...

I purchased an air purifier printed 110V. It has a power adapter of 100-240V. Can I use the air purifier with a power supply of 220-240V? Is the adapter also a converter or transformer? I’m really confused.
Good morning all,
A 'ground fault' alarm came in over the weekend on the 110V charging system. We have two 110V fans currently running and I am suspecting that one is at fault but I can't turn it off yet to fault find. I say I suspect this as we have had to change them before because of low...

Hi all,

Because I had carried out insulation resistance tests etc and knew everything was clear, I opted to just replace the main switch with an RCD main...

Hi All
Please advise in regards to wiring my shed/workshop. I need to install 110v plug. At the moment I have only 13A 240v standard sockets. Can I replace one of them with 16A 110v socket and have 240v and 110v sockets in the same radial circuit (please see picture attached)? Is it safe taking...

Thanks in advance.
Hi all,
I went to a property to replace a dining room light which was not operating.
The dining room had two switches which both switched 1 light on/off.
I tested for voltage at the light and noted when switched on that 230v AC was present.
When off 110V AC was present.
Any ideas? Thanks in...
Guys, i have a customer who wants 4 16A 110V sockets on a wall.

Hello,
I have bought some site lighting with 110v plugs to rig up in my shed workshop which has a 240v domestic supply. Obviously I can use a site inverter but I would like to avoid this. Is it just a case of rewiring and fitting 240v halogen bulbs? Some help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
