Hi all, new here and after some advice on a twin dimmer switch purchased from a large warehouse type diy store.
It is marked as a two gang two way dimmer, so I was expecting to find six terminals; one common and two switched live on each of the two sides.
Yet there is only one common.
Now...

Hey,
I've just past my trade test and was placed on a new build to complete the 2nd fix
as the guy who roughed it has left.
Anyway, he's wired the lights using the loop method at the switches, I've never did this
previously as I would always do the joint at the ceiling rose, this has thrown me...
Evening gents bit of advice, testing the above and when switches are on a reading of 3.13 ohms is apparent. Now when a switch is turned off I would expect a dead circuit I.e infinite >2000 but no a reading of 60.4 ohms is shown any thoughts on what this could be ?? Cheers

One switch is correct or the other depending on how it is switched any idea please Thanks Ian. :19: Should be simple!!!
as above, has anyone have any experience of this using touch dim switching ?

i was under the impression i could have a touch dim dimmer one end and a normal 2 way switch the other end, however, the lights are doing funny things, ie dimming...
I'm an apprentice and have been asked to install 2 sensors with 2 lights! Was just wondering how to 2 way these sensors as there is just a live in neutral in and live out neutral out? Sensors must bring on both lights. Thanks
Is there is any reason why 2 way switching wouldn't work for a PIR floodlight taking into account the PIR setting and the manual override mode??Obviously it would be wired correctly!
Just yes or no. No abuse please!

Hi all,
Putting in a a hallway lighting circuit on a new dwelling controlled from 4 points, client wants a dimmer but is happy to incorporate just a 2 way dimmer to save getting involved in master and slave units.
