I passed my 2330 and 17.1 edition exams in April. I'm struggling to find work as an electrician as the only work I've done with electrics is putting in lights, switches, washing machines at home and for friends (anyone know of any jobs going, let me know?).

i am 17th edition electrician 9 years in trade wide range of experience but not so much in the testing area so not sure what im letting myself in for regarding this course.

for those looking to sit the 2391 before it finally bites the dust - the final, final, final written exam date of December 2012, appears to have been changed to March 2013. Search the C&G web site under 2391 for info.

Arrived at Newcastle college tonight to resit my 2391 written exam, opened the paper and loads of questions missing, section A 1-4 not there, 9-13 not there, 16-19 not there. Section B 21 not there, 23 not there, 24,25 & 26 there were spaces for answers but no questions.

I was advised by the niceic that they would sign off 2 of my jobs and just ask me to inspect and test as long as I had the 17th Ed.

The other question is where can i sit these exams in the north east? All the ones I've rang have said they only do it down south now because there wasn't enough people wanting to do it up here...
