    Hi Can anyone confirm. When 25mm tails on a 100amp supply are longer than 4 meters. Do you need to Downfuse the isolator switch even if cable size is suitable for length of run?

    main tails 25mm regardless (100A mf)?

    The main tails are sized based on the rating of the main fuse so that regardless of the usage you must use what is standard? I just ask for some different opinions because my boss will probably try to bs his way out of buying some main tails and I need some more ammunition.

    16mm and 25mm tails on same install ???

    If a new consumer unit is fitted with 25mm tails from isolator switch to consumer unit should the 16mm tails from the cutout to the isolator be changed also. Note that the isolator switch has just been fitted with new 16mm tails. Also should the 10mm main earth be changed to 16mm by the supplier?
