3 phase motor, high resistance & high amps.
at work the other day, a 3 phase motor was running very high amps, when everything checked out we found a loose connection on 1 of the phases back at the DB, cable was melted and burnt. now for me i always thought high resistance would mean less amps would flow, the other electrician put the...- Dave0098

amps carried in cables
can someone please help me to understand how many amps 1mm + 1.5mm + 2.5mm + 4mm + 6mm + 10mm twin & earth cables can carry please or put me in the right direction, Also what size breakers are appropriate for the 1mm + 1.5mm + 2.5mm + 4mm + 6mm + 10mm twin & earth cables
