would like your opinions lads on using RCD FCUs i have come across a few jobs recently where no space at CU or rewireble fuses at CU.client wants all new spots and extracts etc so i have been taking afeed off upstairs cct to a RCD spur(fused to 5amp) and feeding evrything off bathroom from... -

light switches in bathrooms -
17th says that a lightswitch can be 0.6M from the bath/shower edge as long as it is suitable for its position. - Have any of you heard of anyone getting a shock from a light switch with wet hands?? The Switch is existing and obviously best to fit a pull switch ,- but customer knows not to touch...- salisbury spark

Mains voltage extractor fans in bathrooms?

Lighting Ciruits in Bathrooms
Hi, I am looking for sugestions to comply with 17th ed. when making alterations to circuits (eg lighting) in bathrooms. We now have to have these rcd protected. If its a BS3036 fuse box what would be a good way to provide rcd protection for the lighting circuit.- robert.e

Help! RCD protection of circuits in bathrooms
Ive just wired an extractor fan and pump into the lighting circuit of a bathroom and put an RCD Fuse connection unit in line on the whole circuit, lights and all; the consumer unit in the house is one of the old Wylex fuse ones and I thought that was the easier option rather than trying to put...- adasadas
