Morning all,
I am just changing some light fittings in a shower and toilet block at a campsite and wondered the requirements for smoke alarms. It is an independent building with woman one side then men on the other. There are no smokes at present.
Wonder if I can get some guidance, on max demand in block of flats. It always was hard for me as it always comes to massive demands, and I red here that it all comes with years of experience and that it is like an art. This is first bigger project I am taking on. So please don’t shoot.
I need...
Would you consider that this was OK?
On a ring main one leg between two sockets has been cut (red and black T+E) then joined by connector block and a spur has been taken off from the connector block (brown and blue T+E) to run under floor heating (3 amps).
Hi, i've ran a radial into an extension. There are no spare ways on the existing 3036 DB. All the circuits are doubled up in fuse holders anyway and i want to leave that board well alone.
I'm gonna put a new 2 way DB in to feed this radial.
The existing board is fed in 25mm tails straight...

The nature of the problem is that despite wiring the fan up to...

Hi All,
I have just fit 10mm splash backs in my kitchen bringing the sockets out by the same distance. On one of the double sockets I now have barely enough cable to work with and connect to the socket, I have 3 lives, neutrals and earths. Is it ok to use a terminal block to connect all like...
Hi alall what's the best way of running cables on block and beam new build? Obviously you can use conduit but has anyone clipped cables to the wooden batting that the ceiling plaster board will sit on? Would you say that it would be an acceptable way to do it?
Hi Guys,
Looking for a little advise regarding installation of new supply to feed a communal shower block at a local Girl Guides Camp.
The owners have just had the supply upgraded from single phase to 3 phase on my advise as their new power requirements are now much greater with the arrival of...

Hi Gents.
What a lovely day - 27c in my living room!! Will need the fan tonight.
When ZE testing do you take the main earth out from the CU or the MET?
If you take it out of the CU would I get bad readings due as the earthing to the gas and water services?
Thanks
