    Outlets out. breaker not tripped

    So after turning on a shop vac, the lights and outlets in the room went out. No breaker or gfci have been tripped. I also am not 100% sure what breaker this string of outlets is even on. I cant trace it without making holes in the walls. Asnyone have any ideas or had a similar problem?

    3 pole breaker query

    I know it needs to be replaced, but what actually causes a 3 pole breaker to suddenly stop being able to stay in the on position please, and that's even without it connected to anything (i.e. the switch mechanism makes the correct sounding click when push up, but immediately springs down)????

    UK Thermal breaker to derate circuit?

    Hi chaps and chapettes, I have a buried 6mm SWA 32a radial circuit powering a single 32a commando/ceeform, i'm looking to add a 16a ceeform for convenience. Can I use a thermal-magnetic breaker to derate to 16a. There isn't space for a 2 way CU so would this be my best option? Thanks.
