I came across an rcbo today that has no earth fly lead, how long have these been about then and what is the BSEN on them are they 61009 or what?

They have all disappeared on a recall. But Wylex wont say what the problem is. Nor will they allow you to take back one you have brought. Anyone know more?

Just wondering is an Earth leakage circuit breaker exactly the same as an RCD? The reason I ask is that I heard someone mention once that Earth leakage circuit breakers do not work very well. Maybe I heard wrong?
i am new to the electrics game and today i have come across something new.the person i am doing the job for wants a seperate socket for the comms unit.when i have got to the fuse board there is no room for another breaker and all the existing breakers are being used.please help.
