Hi guys does anyone know if is possible to do a 3 phase Zs test on a fluke 1653b? I am currently halfway through s PIR at a factory and most boards I have tested have either being single phase or 3 phase with no RCD. However I have 2 outside motor/ pump sockets to test but neither have a neutral...
I am looking at joining NICEIC, however have read through some of these threads that it is approx £400 for a year but just over £700 if you want to use their Periodic Certs.
Can anybody explain this to me? As far as I am aware and relativly fresh from C&G 2391, a Periodic is not notifiable just...
Hi,
I recently bought a Seaward Primetest 100 which comes with a semi rigid carry case.
I was just wondering if anyone has got one of these carry cases as the one I have is completely knackered AND I have not even used it as only 2 days old - the Zips are not working (it does not close)...
I really fancy purchasing some of the Bosch/Sortimo L-Boxx's but can't really find any good reviews on them.
I want to buy 4 so I can carry my Jigsaw,Cordless Circular saw, Fein, Fluke 1652 & Battery drills in them and then on an evening just lift them all out into the garage in one go rather...
I was just wondering if anyones meter trips out the RCD when testing R1 + R2. I tried the old fluke 1651 and it was fine but when using the newer 1651b it trips. Also what do you do when this happens do you just disconnect RCD and put in a connector block for this test?

I know that nobody likes talking about costings and of course prices vary region to region however I have been asked by my local council if I would like to be included on their lists to carry out PIR's where the average cost is £80 now I know that I couldn't operate at such a cost (I could but...

In short:
I think I am being spun a line from my supplier.

Megger MFT 1552 users, Has anyone used or know of a suitable replacement carry case for their Megger?
The Megger case is .... well as most of you know a bit of a pig!
Ground and neutral - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Neutral may carry current in a conductor during normal operation? This confuses me. I thought that your neutral always carried current, that without it, you wouldn't have a complete circuit. What does this mean?
Thanks in advance.
