I like to be able to connect an electrical tool such as small vacuum cleaner to clean things on the attic or a light. For convenience, I like to plug one end of this cord to an outlet on the ground level, then let it run straight up to a small hole on the ceiling to the attic. So, only a few...

Is this ceiling lamp in danger of falling?

Hello, I have a very heavy frosted glass ceiling lamp and I have noticed that the top conical plastic part looks as if it got disconnected from the glass at some point. I don't know if it was installed like this because it was already like this when I moved in. I have a cat and I don't want him...

    14 from a ceiling fan to 12 on a 20 amp circuit

I know that 14 shouldn't be used on a 20 amp circuit. But it's only from a ceiling fan to a switch. I'm not even totally sure which breaker the power is from. I think it may be a 20 amp though. Is this ok being a ceiling fan doesn't use a lot of draw?
