    Wire colours

    I am about to put up a new light fitting, thge colours from the ceiling are blue, black and green/yellow, I know the green/yellow is earth and I am thinking the blue is neutral and the black live, is this correct? The colours on the new fitting are blue and brown. Thanks for any help. Joy

    Say I am wiring a school. My blue cable is finished, but I still have a lot of brown cable.
