Am I correct in thinking that you do not need to mechanical protect cables in walls, (Lighting & Power circuits) if they are kept within the zones??
However if you go outside the zones
you need mechanical protection
unless it is at a depth of 50mm
RCD protected
plus others

Using a clamp meter I am reading 1.2A on the main earthing conductor,
also at the main protective bonding conductor to water pipe,
BUT not the gas pipe,
Why is there a current present and why is it not present at the protective bonding to gas?
The supply is domestic single phase...
