HI,
I am hoping someone on here can help. I am looking for a fused inline mains connector plug... capable of taking a 5 amp fuse / 240 volt feed.
I admit this is an odd request but have asked our electrician and he can't think of anything. If i explain what we are doing.... we fit temporary...
Got some small fluorescent tubes under the kitchen cupboards as worktop lighting, very unreliable, going to change them to LED strips (maybe something like this TLC Link) - the feed is direct to the light location, which loops in and out for all the lights, so 2 cables to each light except the...
Hi all,
We had some old garden lights, most of which had stopped working years ago. I've removed them all now, but the cable is still embedded in the fabric of the wall and where it emerges from the wall I've left the conductors terminated in a simple connector block. Is there a more...
Hi, I hope someone can help me shortly - what's this connection name, it feeds LED fairy lights in a garden, but cant find any name on it. It does work on 230V
Thanks
Tom
I've heard it said many times that connector blocks are not allowed to extend cables inside DBs and whilst I agree it's not good practice, I've never found a regulation that specifically prohibits the use of connectors blocks. Does anyone know of a regulation number regarding this?
Hi all,
I'm new on here so hello everyone - hope i've done this thread correctly!
Looking for a bit of help ... I have some LED Christmas lights with a connector that I am unfamiliar with. I would like to extend them between the lights and the transformer.
Does anyone know what the...
Seems like can't find any industrial grade panel connectors with built in safety switch (when removing plug safety switch gets actuated and switches on or of contactors, relays or anything else). I need some protection against accidental or intentional removal of a plug. Interlocked commando...
Hey guys!
First of all I'm really really sorry that I’m asking this question here, as Iam pretty sure that I’m in the wrong section of the forum or, even on a wrongforum altogether.
But it is worth the shot as I am running in circles already.
By the end of this post you would have had figured...
Good evening all just wondering if anyone has recently fitted a schneider kq 250amp switch disconnector and had an issue with the busbar terminals on the TP&N board not lining up with the busbar extensions?
Hi guys this is probably a bit basic for what I've seen around here but I was hoping someone could help... I have an old Hyundai Excel '95 and the front and side left indicators are out and rapid signalling on the dash board and the back left light is rapid signalling. The first thing I tried...
I have a faulty switch on a BGA rework station:
I don't really need the switch, because I always use the mains switch anyway. How would I rewire it so that the faulty switch is taken out and it is always on? Which wires would I connect together?
LEFT OF PIC: FAULTY SWITCH
TOP OF PIC: WIRE TO...
Hello. I have Panasonic SA - HE75 receiver and my cooling fan got broken, and I want to replace it now. I found same size cooling fan in online store, but there's one problem, it has 3 pin connector, and my receiver needs 2 pin. As far as I know 3rd wire is for reading rpm, so I guess it's not...
Morning,
I’ve only ever used a kewtech MFT and I’ve bought a Megger 1710
On the back of the tester above I have the following colour coded terminals for the test leads.

Doing...
Hi everyone, I hope all is well
Today I was installing some new IP65 Non-corosive twin flourecents. They where in exchange for similar lights.
The wiring was done (or at least added too) by some DIY know it all.
While I was installing one of the lights I had to make adjustments to the...
Hello, I would like to use a recently bought Click and flow connector block to wire a standard lamp with 3 bulbs.
Reading the instructions have left me confused.
According to the instructions the female socket is 'for fixed wiring supply' but has room for 3 cables to run into this socket...
hello
I have a ceiling spotlight trackbar which uses an inbuilt choccy bar as its connector. Trouble is it is now quite old (20 yrs+) and the little screws in the choccy block seem to have lost their grip and just spin around so they don't grip the copper wires anymore, nor can I remove them...
Noob here looking for a bit of help, I'm trying to identify a connector/plug which has burnt out in my washing machine. To explain (I have a very limited knowledge of electrical components btw so apologies if my terminology is wrong!), I found a loose wire in the white connector which I think...
Coming across a few of these. Very small run of cable as cu is in kitchen just below bathroom but should be 10mm cable. Did the old cable used to be slightly bigger than the new stuff?
Hello,
Can anyone point me to the specific regulation that using a connector block and electrical tape contravenes?
And what do you use as an alternative?
Thanks a lot!
Lee
Hi all, new member here so be easy on me.
I'm looking to replace me existing ceiling rose pendant fitting in my bathroom with a short (700mm length) of track lighting, 2no. spotlights to be used. I've bought the new items from Ikea, a power connector, track, and the spots (Ikeas365+ Sanda)...
