Hi All
I need to locate a new consumer unit approx 10 to 12 metres away from the mains supply. The existing old unit is less than 50cm from the supply.
My initial thought is to replace the existing old unit with a small unit housing just a 100A double pole isolator switch and run tails from this...

Hi, I do not know much about electrical regulations but I have recently had a consumer unit fitted in my kitchen, it is very near to my sink but is also very unsightly. I was just wondering what the minimum distance is for the consumer box to be near water? Thankyou

Hi just wondering what everyone recommends now on new installs for mounting the cu's on. I know ply wood or wood of any kind for that matter is now frowned upon. What would keep everything looking nice and tidy rather than drilling and screwing everythin to to plastered wall?
Hi,
I have been asked to replace a fuse box with a new consumer unit.
I visited the flat today and found that it has 2 separate fuse boxes and 2 separate feeds (possibly on different tariffs).
Do I need to fit 2 separate consumer units ?

Is there likely to be tripping...
