Hi All.
Am about to enter into the world of S Plan heating systems and need some general knowledge as I have none when it comes to plumbing.
The system comprises of the following:
It is a Danfoss S Plan With 2 * 2 Port Zone Valves With Programmable Heating & Hot Water Thermostats

Hi,
I have bought a flat with an electric boiler - the flat is all electric. The boiler is a Vented Cyclinder ; the exact title is a "Kernal Plumbing Unit" - as below:
Kernel Plumbing Units
My question is:
1. As this is not gas powered - do I need to service it? It is 10 years old, but...
Came across a Heatrae Sadia hot water cylinder in my travels and was intrigued as to why the single phase supply was wired through two stats before going to the element terminal.
Enquired with a colleague who said one stat is used for temperature cut out and the other for temperature...

The question is pretty much in the title, if you were converting from Y plan to S plan I'm not sure what you would do with the cylinder stat satisfied wire, would you simply put a connector on the other end in case it were ever needed in the future?
Thanks for any help

In process of investigating intermittent fault with hot water system. Suspect it may be the cylinder stat (the type that is strapped around the hot water cylinder) and for the price of them (£10-£20) seems to be a no-brainer to fit a new one. Existing one is a Satchwell SA36, and very old (temp...
Hi, Ive just started out as an electrician and ive got a job to connect a a new immersion cylinder stat to a back boiler behind fire place.
Is this job easy to carry out and are the connection easy to wire up???
Thanks for your help
Mate wants a cylinder stat put on cylinder in his new house. Theres seems to be an outlet that may have been used for one before as there was a stat before but not now. The fused outlet only has a live neutral earth though. Is it possible this was used for stat or not?
Does anyone know if any companies do wireless control of the valves in a Y plan system?
I have looked at the Honeywell solution using ST9420C as the controller but this is WIRED. The room stats (DT92E) are wireless to the controller though which is a start.
What I ideally want is a system...
I know this is somewhat off topic but we've been asked to look at an existing Thermal system by one of our potential PV customers. It's 2 years old installed incorrectly by a cowboy who's now in the process of folding.
The customer wants a new panel but would like to re-use the existing...
