i was pre thinking that there maybe water at the socket.
Does anyone one have...
Or should it be totally separate to prevent risk of blockage / backflow?
Builder has suggested running new kitchen waste to the sewerage downpipe that is in the room rather than digging up the front garden and tarmac drive to access the sewer direct.
What would be the correct thing to do?

I attended the above issue on a domestic property (TNS supply) and discovered the socket supplying the dishwasher was introducing line voltage to the earth connection. This was supplied by a fused switch spur located above the kitchen worktop which had no earth supply to it. This same fuse spur...

Hi all, I have a Bosch sms2012gb dishwasher approximately 15 years old and it has started to trip my RCBO for the kitchen. I have pin pointed the trip to where the programmer reaches the main wash cycle as the photo shows. I can reset it a few times and then it finishes as normal. I have...
Could someone please give me some advice, the plug fuse on my dishwasher kept blowing so I got a nearly new second hand dishwasher installed, it too keeps blowing its plug fuse.
I've had a new double plug socket fitted and that hasn't cured the problem, the washing machine is plugged into the...
I have just been handed a kitchen drawing where the dishwasher is sited next to a cooker with only a 20mm decor end separating them.Does anyone know if this is against either the wiring regs or the building regs.I was always of the opinion a water source should be as far away from a cooker as...

Hi,
I have a Comenda dishwasher and its 415 volts. Can I wire this up at home? Does it have to have a special power supply?
Sorry not an electrician so it probably sounds like a really stupid question, but thought I would ask
thanks!

In summary: every time I turn on my electric fan oven it trips the RCD in my consumer unit. Although it is already on it's own RCD switch everything trips, all the sockets throughout the house but the Cooker one is unaffected.
A similar thing appeared to happen with my Dishwasher and I...

Hi
Just wondered when trying to find a good place to put the earthing test lead what is the best place.
I presume most dishwashers like washing machines can only be switched on when the door is shut.
Personally my dishwasher does not have any good earthing points to put the test lead onto...
