Hello, new here!
Would greatly appreciate some input. I'll first say I intend to get an Indesit technician to take a proper look tomorrow, but I'm curious.
A couple of hours ago I tried to switch the main oven on as usual - the oven is only 2-3 yrs old - and a spark came from behind the...
Semi-detached next door house mains supplied from my property pre-meter off main fuse.
I cannot get a smart meter as main fuse cannot be pulled by non DNO electrician.
This arrangement has been confirmed as not a revenue dodge (ie running feed to garden shed, extension etc). We confirmed the...
I have salvaged the door bell operation from an old M&S intercom system which doesn't quite function as it should. When you make normal contact on the door bell button, the chime doesn't produce a clear and reasonably prolonged sound. Its muted (fuzzy) and only engages for a split second and...
Hi all,
Our door access is being upgraded to Paxton Net2 soon. We are also looking at electronic time and attendance hardware that can integrate with PN2 (if at all) and wanted to see if anyone else ever installed this or something like this.
Anyone had any experience that can help with this?
Hello, I am looking for a door entry system with fobs to operate a mag lock on a door. Ideally I would have a system which records of log of what fob and when opened the door. What makes would you recommend looking at or avoiding.

I hoped someone might advise please: I'm replacing my ancient ( probably 40+ yrs old ) door bell transformer with a British General unit mounted in a Wylex housing, fed via a switched fused spur. The previous unit had a switch only, it was fused at the consumer unit connected into a lighting...
How do I make a door alarm using a detex reed switch, SDC electric key switch, and a federal siren? The concept is that when you open the door the alarm goes off and you could only turn off the siren when the with is turned using the key.
Hi all,

Any thought's welcomed that are...

I've been asked to 'remove the light cable over the front door' so as I was passing I decided to take a quick look before contacting the tenants.
