As in the title?
I just ordered the above from Titan ladders but they say they have none in stock and will not be getting any more.
Anyone know where I can get some, has to be 6 step, not 5.
Cheers guys.
As above, making some adapters for my MFT but seems a shame to butcher a set of leads - Ok you'll cut them in half and reuse both parts (banana plug section into a C15 and lead and probe section into a C16 (Male to Female).
Trying to figure if I should just buy a off the shelf 3 phase, 5 pin R2...
I'm looking for a double sided (i.e you can walk up both sides) fibreglass 6 step stepladder.
I have found this one Industrial Steps - Fibreglass Trade - Titan Ladders - https://www.titanladders.co.uk/product/industrial-steps-fibreglass-trade/ Has anyone used this one, is it well made?
I...
I have a water temp sending kit for my old chevy. However, I don't want to use the plastic warning light it came with. I want to use my own chrome warning light because it fits the look of my dash better (51 Chevy Wagon). The kit plastic light has two prongs and is self-grounded. One prong is...
Hi there sorry if I’m not making myself clear from the title, I live in a bungalow.
basically I want to add a double socket in the attic with the ability to turn it on and off from my passageway just below the attic door,
would this be possible by adding a switch to my existing light switch ?
Hi all wondering if anyone could explain why there might be 5 wires in a double socket?i went to change the the switch for a new one as the original was damaged but there are 5 wires in there...ie 5 lives,5 neutrals and 5 earths....surely this can’t be right? It has been like this for 15 years...
Hi,
So I was reading the notes on regulation 531.3.5.3.2.201 (Page 156) today and noticed Note 1 that consideration should be given (Where TT earthing is present) to the manufacturer's internal line cable links on the supply side of an RCD being insulated AND sheathed! Does anyone know of any...
Hi , I've recently moved into a propery with an electric shower installed , there is no isolation switch in the bathroom, the showers seems to be wired directly from the consumer unit , it is on its own supply and can be isolated at the board , is this sufficient to pass an electrical test ? Or...
Hello. I need an outdoor socket and bought a ‘kit’ that allows a ‘soft wire’ IP66 socket. It is connected inside through the wall to an indoor socket by flex and a captive RCD plug. Unfortunately they sent a ‘hardwired’ unit which costs more but leaves no trailing leads inside. So I’d like to...
So yes I have three bakelite double switches 1 of a different brand but both types have only three connectors for wires. Is it simply one main live in (and which would that be?) and two live outs for each of the switches. And I guess the neutrals come off the lights and can be joined together...
Just some clarification please.
Max demand for cooking devices.
OSG says 10A + 30% of "connected cooking appliances in excess of 10A + 5A" if a socket is available in the isolator. The oven and hob are two devices. Does the 15A apply to both of them or just the first one?
eg: Oven 4.8 kW Hob...
Hello,
Does anyone know who makes or sells double 1.0mm T+E clips, not the 1.0/1.5 type . I’ve had them in the past and they hold 1mm much better than the 1.0/1.5 type. Can’t remember the brand or where I got them.
Thanks
Hi, I was installing two downlights today in a bathroom and noticed a feed coming from smoke alarm to lighting circuit! Problem is the smoke alarms have there own circuit? Is there a reason someone might do this or has it been done by mistake??
Thankyou

Hi guys, new member to forum here.
I recently bought a new build and I'm slowly replacing the light switches with smart LightwaveRF ones. Most of them I've been able to work out myself and some googling. However there's a 2 gang switch on each of my bathrooms where one of the switches is a...
Hi guys I'm relatively new to the electrical trade just want to know why do we use double pole switches I know they cut off both line and neutral but why do we use them for shower circuit, ovens, jobs, fridges, microwaves, and not use single pole ??
A lean to with a metal clad box and a plastic double switched socket fitted to it adjacent to a water drain for a washing machine. Obviously I am not happy with it so thought I would fit a BG weatherproof IP66 as a direct replacement; thinking I had to remove the flex I pulled some 2.5mm T&E...
