Gu10 Downlight Size Holes?
I am going to treat myself to some large Starrett holesaws to keep in the van for when I am fitting downlighters nut am unsure what sizes to get. Are most GU10 downlighter holes around the 70-80mm mark? I currently use a 73mm but have had to borrow a 67mm and also a 79mm for IP rated ones in...- eskimo39

Rating downlight transformers....
Here's a silly question. I've never put in a transformer-type light before, so bear with me please.... I=Watts/Volts, yea? But, when I am using a 35w halogen and a 240-12v transformer for each downlighter, do I work out the amperage as 35/12, or 35/240?? Or something else? 2.9 amps per light...- rocker

Making downlight holes bigger
Does anyone know of any tools/tricks to make a downlight hole larger neatly and quickly? Using a larger cutter just leaves a mess! Cheers Euan- EWebster

LV downlight on wood
just looked at a job today with t&g ceiling all over, the proprety is a bunglow and the lady would like downlights in the kitchen would this be a problem on the wood ceilings, seen them used on boxed in sections made of wood and seem to have no effect .......... any info would be great- prgil74

Low voltage downlight heat concerns
Hi, ive just finished fitting 9 low voltage downlights in a living room for a family member. After fixing, i switched the lights on before pushing them all the way home. light directly above shower cubicle
Can anyone advise? iv been asked to fit some new lighting in a customers bathroom, they want one directly above the shower cubicle as its an enclosed cubicle( i.e 3 tiled walls trap to ceiling and door) so not much light in there. what zone would this position fall in and what fitting options...- craig1000
