Just wondering if anyone is in the IET?
Is it worth the £130 PA price tag?
Its something that my employer used to offer all electrical staff but they stopped ding it the year I qualified!
its something I have often considered joining off my own back but I dont know anyone who is in it anymore.
Got 2 questions if you guys/girls could help and advise

Hi All,
Have just come off the phone to NICEIC, inquiring about requirements for fully approved status. Their advice was assessment involves any 5 jobs no matter how small, even 5 socket changes they reliably informed me. It was all very vague and unhelpful, which I found odd but they seemed...
Hello. I have my niceic first assesment soon and am looking for any useful advice or tips on the 2 jobs they will be inspecting.
The first 'major' is a cu upgrade. All done 17th edition split load board. (Anything to watch out for they're picky on)?
Second is straight forward 16amp...
Does any one know, now that they have dumbed down Part P, if you have to register to sign off someone else's work or if you are already a member of a scheme you can just do it. Plus what certificate do you use because if you haven't installed it surely you can't use a EIC. Maybe a EICR?
thanks chaps
Hi everyone
I have my Elecsa assessment tomorrow afternoon and I really don't know what to expect in terms of how the actual assessors are? I'm really nervous about the whole thing to be honest and want to get it over and done with lol. Any tips that you can recommend?
Cheers
Toby :)
I am contemplating joining a scheme but unsure what way to go our work is a mix of commercial and domestic and whilst I was the qs for NIC on last company I worked now I am on my own not sure which would be best

Considering registering with ELECSA and thought I'd see what people have to say about them.
Did their online registration form and was a bit surprised to see they want payment immediately, which put me off submitting it.
Any comments about them would be appreciated...

I'm looking to join a part p scheme (either benchmark or ELECSA)
Have been looking for threads on this and most seem to be old. When joining a part p scheme you now need an IBW on your work. As far as I'm aware, only ELECSA offer this, does anyone know how much extra it is/will be per...
After quite few threads ive seen here on whether care-homes is Commercial or Domestic and notifiable or not, i spoke with Elecsa
