On a fan isolator you have a 3 core go to it cus you need a sw a perm feed and neutural am I right? Then a 3 core out to fan, well assuming I am right does this mean you can only wire off the first light of a circuit because that's where your perm feed goes into your loop and if you go off last...
If doing a full house rewire are you now supposed to install mains interlinked smoked detectors and extractor fans to kitchen and bathroom?
Isn't this covered in Part B or building regs and not Part P that we have to comply too?
If the customer says they dont want any smokes or extractor...
The panel i looked at today has a flow fail light showing on all the supply fans. After looking for the breakers and looking at the light for a trip, all looked ok.
The fans are not running , but a flow fail light is on and the breakers have not tripped out.

Hi , my sister is having a new kitchen fitted soon and i am doing the wiring for it , id just like to check if an extractor fan must be fitted that vents to the outside air , as it stands im not sure on the situation.cheers
Am I correct in assuming that in domestic properties as long there is RCD protection and the fans are IPX4 there is not a requirement any more for fitting LV fans in special locations. If this is the case will the manufactuers start to only produce 230 volts units?:)
