thnx in advance
We had a 20 panel 3.9Kw system installed on 24th February 2012 just before the good rate ended and the estimated generation on our certificate is 2900Kwh.
To date (just 7.5 weeks later), we've generated 700Kwh.
Now, I know we've had some great weather lately, but what happens when I generate...
Just interested what ppl are getting generation wise from 3pm onwards........ please state peak, energy per hr for each subsequent hr and size of array and possibly approx' location - NorthWest, SouthEast etc

I decided to look in more detail at my PV system's generation stats. It has only been operational for a few months, so hasn't seen a full year.
60% of days are below target for that day.
40% of days are above target for that day.
The system total generation is comfortably outperforming SAP...
Hi All
This is a something that is concerning me about solar PV instillations.
What is stopping someone from using a isolated transformer with a bridge rectifier to give a dc output and feeding it back into the inverter while on economy 7 rates during the night at 7p per kwh then selling it...
A friend has just has a PV installation completed by a rent-a-roof company.
He's adamant there's no separate generation meter and that readings are taken directly from an inbuilt meter in the inverter remotely by use of a sim card. His words, not mine.
Is this likely? I know remote reading and...
hello everyone

Hi all,
I've had a couple of enquiries lately from clients who have been (somewhat surprisingly) informed by their DNO that the generation meter is not Ofgem approved. Why, all of a sudden, are DNO's deciding that MID approval is not adequate/accepted? Don't they understand the history/nature...
We do apologise if this is the wrong forum to ask .
We are asking for help in these areas of Sheffield and surrounding , blackpool and surrounding , North East and Norwich and surrounding , As we are generating new customers for residential Solar Power Energy very soon via face to face where we...
a friend is concerned because the total generated value for her panels given on the Tigo website (optimisers were used as there are shading issues) is considerably higher than that shown on her ge. meter. The system was commissioned on 14th Jan and reading on gen meter is ~ 2/3 of the total...
Hi,
I am just finishing my apprenticeship this year,
I am looking to get some advice on how to get into a role on more industrial work, even transmission or generation.
Havnt got any experience in that field but would obviously be willing to be paid to match the fact.
I have even...
We have thousands of solar pv leads for able to pay customers across the uk ,moving forward with the new fit rate we see an even greater demand now that initial costs have crashed to the customer,if your looking for good quality leads postcode specific or uk wide then please get in touch.either...
ok lads been having a discussion on Edf fit form! ive got job with following!! 1x 1.7kw on garage 1x 1.5kw on shed(outbuilding) now treated as sep systems due to distance ie impractible to run cable back to 1 x generation meter position! how do i reg it! do i do 2 mcs certs for same property...
Just been offered supply of Landis meters but they are going fast. Not sure of current supply levels and I am not selling just passing on the contact info if anyone is stuck.
Hi
where is the best position to put the generation meter
1. Next to the main metering supply. Or
2. In the garage by the inverter
The inverter is about 15 meters away, from the mains point
Cheers
I am interested to hear how other installers have found different 'leads' companies?
We have used Solar Guide for a lot of our leads and we have a really high conversion rate with them. Definitely our best experience with them so far.
We have also used Companeo and unfortunately ended up...
