    I think it may be wise if we are planning on going in to the green deal scheme to list what we are planning on being accredited for as we will not be over all meausre then at least we have a network between installers and advisor on here. we could sub-contract jobs to each other if we are based...

    I heard a rumor that the FITS may be part of the golden rule with the green deal so if you have solar panels fitted via the green deal you can claim fits ? is this true?

    MCS Registration Bodies Recommendation

    We are a long established NICEIC electrical contractor, any one please give their opinion and or experience on the companies offering MCS Registration and Assessment. There are number we have contacted including NICEIC, NAPIT and Benchmark. Any advice or other providers ? Thanks in advance.

    BT Socket - having a blonde moment!

    Ok, got a client who want me to connect a BT "extension" into the back of the socket in their house. The "extension" cable is of the type you would buy off the shelf and has already fitted the socket on one end and the plug on the other - both moulded into position so its not possible to check...

    Does the savings made on green deal products pay for the loan from the Govt ? Say £250.00 on a 4kw solar in electric will go back in the pot to pay for the loan ?

    been asked to replace brass sockets and light switches to crome in a 3 bed house had a little look sat and when i removed 1 socket face seen there was the dreaded green gue now im not to sure about taking job on as i dont want to disturb cables as ive previously read on here it should be rewired...
