Hi all, i've just attempted to install a new light fitting with a reasonable understanding of what i'm doing, but i just wanted to check if this was safe or not?
Live connects to live via the electrical block, as do the neutral and earth wires. I'm just confused as to what the earth wire...
When installing LS0H cables what type of cable reference type do people put down on the eic?
I put down pvc/pvc as the ccc of the cable from manufacturers is the same as standard twin & earth ratings from bs7671 and to be fair it's similar apart from make up of insulation.
Thanks.

Hi all
I've got a new cooker coming next week and was considering wiring it in myself. It will be replacing our existing similar(ish) cooker and is going in the same spot as the old one. But it turns out I might have to get in an electrician to do some checks (see my other post today!) and so I...
New kitchen - induction hob at 7.4kW (32amp) and oven at 3.6kW (16amp) max ratings. Existing outlets are:

Can both oven and hob be connected off the one 45amp cooker circuit? That's right up to the maximum.
Or can the oven...
