hi all i know there are maunfacuer distances but how many of u actully go as close to joinst as possible. i have never heard of a joist catching fire befor. any one put one touching a joist ?

Take a look at above PDF what do they mean by the depth of the joist, the diagram seems to indicate the thickness ??
