My Megger MFT1553 test leads need to be replaced. Can anyone recommend any test leads out there that are:
Compatible with this tester, and have a stronger clip, as my current ones just don't seem to clip well onto terminal bars and other items very well.
can anyone tell me where in the 17th edition it tells you in black and white that you do not need a flying lead attatched to metal back boxes from a socket. Also the same for a steel sink in a kitchen.I have been reading it all day and have a sore head.Thanks.
Can anyone recommend where to bulk buy (25+) IEC leads? And what kind of price to expect to have to pay? This is for replacement leads to offer customers if/when their computer power leads fail PAT tests.
testing an installation(that we have just finished) where the client want to choose a few circuits and check it against the test sheets, Now the circuits are 3- 240mm single core cables in parrallel (24 in total in a data centre) I have tested r1+r2 with 3 different fluke multi function testers...
Hi

Hi
In the COP is recommends the max length of a (13amp) 1.5mm lead is 15m & 2.5mm lead is 25m without RCD protection ,
this is not based on volt drop because you can squeeze 20m out of a 1.5mm lead with a 16amp commando plug fitted & 37m out of a 2.5mm lead with a 16amp commando plug fitted ...

as title. does anyone know of a good repairer for my 1552. it's fine on all ranges (calibrated), except for continuity, where it reads incorrectly and erratically. e.g . on a 1.0 ohm resistor, it will read anything from 1.3 to 1.7. it's not anything to do with nulling the leads or the leads...
