I have always used the panel to earth the (bolted) banjos but in my new job seem to be being sent around putting on fly leads from the bolts to the Earth bar. I'm told that this has been picked up by the NIC.
I should clarify. The jobs I am being sent back on are not my own, but old(er)...
Hi all,
Title says it all really, I have the above for sale it was last calibrated on the 15th June 2015 and has not been used since. Think the leads could do with replacement as they look kinda old lol.
Any questions or to make me an offer PM me.
Photos are avialable on my google drive at...
Does anybody deal with hdmi leads?
Got a customers who wants to loose there through a wall so he can plug his tv in without seeing any leads.
Of course its all decorated and only have a small hole to use, does anyone know how to cut off hdmi leads and redo them? Or buy a reel of cable and make...
hi all, I posted about this recently and didn't manage to get back online till now.
I've got a Fluke 1653b multi function meter. In the last few weeks it has stopped recording Ze and Zdb readings ( readings on L-E setting) are 0.00 and on L-N reading are0.00 and PFC is 10kA ( this only happens...
Plastic still on screen etc.
With Kewtech R2 mains plug tester which plugs into Fluke leads
Fluke probe tester
Fluke 3 way cros clips.
In original yellow plastic Fluke box. Used less than 10 hours.
North London, can deliver within 20 miles of M25 or Courier , all inspection welcome.
Once again after some knowledge from some wise old men.
As per photo, I have been issued from a contractor a C2 for 'The MICC/SWA or earth bar cables earth system is incorrectly connected.'
I have 26 metal clad consumer units with this C2 where the earth tag has been fitted with nut & bolt...
Hi, I have bought a Kewtech socket tester for r1 & r2 testing on a megger 1552 but loose connection of the leads into it are giving me unstable readings. The genuine Megger 1552 compatible leads are brand new, as is the Kewtech socket tester. I cannot find a Megger socket tester and am aware...
I thought having one of those socket adaptors that allows you to push your testing leads directly in.
What's the general consensus? Do they conflict with testing resulting
think the one Iv looked at is made by kewtech
I already read the thread on this but the answers didn't help. I need to get my !553 apart and have taken the 4 screws out. The unit will start to part but there appears to be something holding the two halves together at the top. Does anybody know how to open one of these up?
I spoke to Megger...
Just having a play with my tester at home - when I did a Zs rcd on my lighting circuit it tripped the rcd still. Is this a common issue? Happened on both lighting circuits which are on different rcds.
New build so electrics are in pretty good nick.
Evening all,
I've just purchased a Fluke 1654B Mft, and on further inspection I've realized it has been supplied with fused Robin test leads (which after some research is standard for older versions of 1654b, i think????) so not as bothered as i first was. I'm wondering if these leads are still...
I find working as a labourer I never have to think about basic theory, so it's easy for me to forget.
Doing some experimenting tonight with 11meters of 2.5 T&E and a continuity tester.
End to end on the line 0.15ohm CPC 0.20 Ohm
It's not exactly what I expect. Is the difference something to...
Hi,
I have a Fluke MFT 1654B, I have had this one for about 3 1/2 years now, ever since new, when you zero the leads, regardless of if its the blue red or green leads, which ever combination, they always come out at around 0.20 Ohms.
I have periodically had issues over the last 6 months or so...
I suspect my Megger 1710 tester is faulty
So I cut exactly 1 meter of 2.5 -1.5
I have nulled the probes as per the instructions.
Continuity test.
End to end
L = 0.11 Ohms
N = 0.11 "
CPC - 0.11 "
Question is this test valid.
Why is the CPC not 1.67 times 0.18 Ohms
What could I do to...
Hi everyone
I have a question regarding an old tester I have purchased. The tester is a Seaward 500H, quite an old tester I know. My question is how do I test IEC leads and extention leads? It doesn't have a IEC socket so I guess I have to create an adapter?
Any help or advice...
Hi there, I was at a customers premises today following water damage to the lighting circuit. When I put my tester on the supply at the switch and ceiling the voltage is pulsing 120-240. When I test on the sockets the supply is steady at 240. The breaker hasn't tripped, so ice isolated the...
Having problems with my 1651b fluke mft when measuring my ze when i clip the croc clip on earth and touch probes on phase and neutral it shows error 4 straight away without me pressing test. I've tried this at home too on my board same thing is it time for a new tester or leads. every other test...

Morning,
I’ve only ever used a kewtech MFT and I’ve bought a Megger 1710
On the back of the tester above I have the following colour coded terminals for the test leads.
L3 Blue
L2- Green

Q1. What leads should I plug in to do the end to end tests on a ring final circuit.
Doing...
