    How do l calculate the maximum cable length for a maximum Zs value? Isn't there also correctional factors to be applied for ambient temperature? :confused:

    Max Length Of Mains Tails ?

    Can someone tell me the maximum length of mains tails please, I think its either 2 metres if cut-out indoors or 3 metres if cut-out outdoors, then to extend the supply further you will need a switched fuse(kmf800), also, will from the kmf need rcd protection ? cheers for any help.

    Voltage drop

    How do we calculate voltage drop on a ring final sockets only, Given the length of the circuit is 40 meters the cable is 2.5mm so therefore the amp per meter is 18, the mcb is 32 so is it 40 x 18 x 32 / 1000 = 23.04 but thats more than 5% = 11.5.     length of circuit calculation - head scratching stuff!

    Hi all, How do I work out the length of a circuit? I have these figures R1+R2 = 0.40 The circuit is wired in 2.5mm/1.5mm T&E I take it I need to know the resistance of the T&E (where do I find this?) Could someone give me the formula or point me in the right direction Thank you.
