    Acceptable spur length from fcu

    Putting a final ring in kitchen and will have a fcu on the ring for the cooker hood. I want to then run from fcu up wall to a flex plate. Due a window above the fcu I can't run straight up and it also wouldn't be where the outlet needs to be. I can run down from the fcu, under the floor...

    I've seen many cheap(£1.49) 4 way 0.5 metre extensions on sale in Asda and Morrisons. I seem to remember from somewhere that an extension lead has to be at least 1 metre long. Occasionaly, the short cable allows easy placement for audio etc. but I thought it wasn't allowed. Does anyone else...
