Hi guys wired in some spot lights on transformers few weeks ago, just had a call to say they stay on for a few hours then go off by themselfs for about half an hour then go back on again.My first thoughts are transformers overheating.....any thoughts on this would be great ?CheersPhil

Replaced a load of downlighters today with the the lamp holder cable being connected to the tranny with a choc block but no choc box, ie not double insulated. Am I right in thinking this does not comply or is it ok as theyre low voltage?

Hello everyone.This is the 2nd time ive had this problem.
I have a 240v supply to the boiler,but it needs a 24v supply(call for heat)Someone said to me an external relay is needed.
But I don,t know what sort,and don,t know how to connect it,Please help.

Quick question on the life expectancy of the transformers. Customer has about 100 low volt dls and about 30 of them no longer work. They have been in since the house was built about 6 years ago. Is this an acceptable time or could there be an underlying problem??

I have a set of low voltage under unit lights in my kitchen as well as a set of 240v dowlighter on the ceiling. Both sets are controlled by a switch (2 gang - 1 switch for each) on the wall.
Last month the switch on the right hand side which turns the under unit lights on and off stopped...

I have a client who wants to replace a 4 inch low voltage extractor fan to a more powerfull one as the bathroom is used alot and creates alot of steam.
