How do uk power networks install a PME system on old PILC mains cable. Do they use the old cable and put a junction on, where it terminates in the property. Or do they put new cable in from the street. Do anyone know how much they charge for this.

I'm a bit of a gamer and over the years i've amassed a collection of consoles i'd like to have easily accessible. Now i understand that if i was to just grab an extension lead, and hook up all of them to the double socket i have nearby, that i'll likely overload the socket and this poses a fire...
I know I shouldn't doubt a company like Bosch but some reassurance or suggestions from anyone here would help ease my mind.
We've purchased a Bosch induction hob (Model Number PIE651BB1E/17) it comes with a 5 core flexible mains cable about 2 metres in length. I'm ok with the wiring aspect of...

Background: My DNO fitted a 100A cut-out fuse on 16mm2 service cables, despite their own published policy requiring 25mm2 service cables for such a fuse rating. (At least, the fuse carrier is labelled 100A). So, they are coming out...
