Plain sailing apart from the assessor minutely investigating my Handover Pack. Anyway, I came away unscathed apart from;
Refer to DTI guide 2006 clause 4.5 and add missing information on operation and maintenance to handover pack. Forward to...

Evening all.
This may be of a strange request but we are a south yorkshire based MCS registered company installing PV systems but are looking at adding air source heat pumps to our company. As you will all know in order to become MCS registered you need a job under your belt to be assesed on...

How long after the install do I inform them? Do I need any forms etc to send them? Who do I contact?

Hello This is my first post on here although I have been looking through the forum quite a bit as its a very good resource for microgen information.
Just to clarify I am not a qualified electrician so some dumbing down may be needed.

Hi All,
Project II time. Nothing definate at this time, but I might have two projects in the new year, one in Berkshire (Reading area) and one Cornwall (Penzance) - if you are able to give keen pricing & work in these areas - both for simple roof mount projects sub 4kW, then can you drop me an...
Hi
We have just had an MCS inspection and have been advised that we need to get independent wind/weight load assessments on each roof we install on, even if it is a new roof. The assessor said that this section of MCS was open to interpretation but may be something they insist on in the...
Just wondering what people's experience is of fitting export meters. We've put a few in & had no problems but I know some electricity suppliers are insisting on only certain companies fitting their customer's export meter (not 'just' an MCS accredited installer..). Has anyone had any...
evening all!
i've done some sub contract work for an mcs reg company, mainly ac circuit, connecting inverter and isolators etc. nothing to do with the roof work.
will the 'main contractor' require a part p compliance cert from me, or will his MCS registration cover all?
thanks in advance!
Had no problems filling in form untill your meter details on type of meter.I guess this would just be ....1 phase elster generation meter.
Sending by email to british gas and am i right all they want is invoice.copy of mcs cert and fits form
Thanks Graeme
9th December 2011- To all MCS Installation Companies
We are well aware of the pressures installation companies will be coming under from customers who believe their certificate won't arrive on time, and that their FIT application will be compromised. That's why we're working hard to...
Had a guy ring up a couple of days ago who was a local electrician who had put a system on his own house and was looking to get it signed off for the MCS. We've never got into this before but it was local and we agreed to have a look on the understanding that we took no responsibility for...

We have been MCS accredited for over two years now and nobody has been and audited or checked anything we do. We are with NICEIC and they do yearly checks/ inspections on our electrical work but never on MCS stuff yet. Has anybody has a yearly audit and/ or do they ever take place.
Thanks
Hi guys
I am currently in the process of applying for Mcs Accreditation and am creating my own QMS document as opposed to buying one in.
One area we have not previously done but are now looking into is the internal audit section. Just posting to see if anyone could maybe help out and point me...
