Occasionally when carrying out rcd testing with a metrel 3100 I have had failures which upon investigation have been caused by me inadvertently leaving a piece of equipment connected to the cct the readings being x1=156 x5=>40 unplug or disconnect the piece of equipment and the readings return...
Hi guys. I have a metrel betapat plus but has no shoulder strap facility. Bloody heavy and im lugging it up and down stairs all the time. Can anyone reccommend a good bag with room for a few tools?
Yo folks, bought a Metrel 3125 off the bay (wont be doing that again) and it has no charger or rechargable batteries. Does anyone else run there MFT's off third party rechargables? Does it normally come with a battery pack or standard AA size batteries?
Cheers
Hi folks, Just won a metrel eurotest for cheap off the bay without leads.
I know i'll need to spend atleast 50 quid to get it calibrated but dont fancy spending another 50 on leads when i could make them myself.
Does anybody know if the 4 pin test lead plug is a standard type plug i could buy or...
Can anyone that declares themself to be SQEP (suitably qualified and expierenced Person) in the use of the Metrel MI3000 easi plus please advise me if there is a requirement to null this particular instrument before Zs measurments? No reply required from those that don't use a Metrel mi3000 easi...
Use Metrel at college they seem fine, but quite like build quality of Fluke gear. Can't use the testmeter comparison chart as they don't seem to do Fluke but wondered what features I'd be losing in buying one over the other?? Advice would be great.
Thanks
It does not matter if your not doing inspecting and testing yet, have a read of this pdf to see what we are looking for when doing an EICR of an installation.

I've been looking at testers today and was told about the Metrel gear on here. Quite taken by the amount of punch they seem to pack forwhat you pay, been looking at the MI3000 an MI3100 the only difference between them is the 3100 has a remote test probe and will test type B RCDs on pv...
Hi,
I am after my first ever MFT. I have narrowed it down to the following and would like your suggestions good or bad. I will only be using it for Domestic work.
Fluke 1651b
Metrel MI3000 Easi Plus
Alphatek Easitest MI2087 AL2
Kewtech KT61
At college we only ever used Kewtech but they were a...
Just found this pdf manual...Looks interesting.

Dont understand instructions clearly, another forum member has just forwarded me the instructions and still confused?
When taking Ze reading the meter only seems to show the pscc value but not pfc value.
As I read the instructions it only seems to give you the pfc option on the Zs(Zloop)...
Hi all.
As my 1730 is less reliable than my ex-wife I am considering a different MFT. HAs anyone had use of this machine and if so, what do you think? Does the Esiswitch work or is it a gimmick?
I need to be able to do all the usual test sequences and also to be able to Ra/measure TT...
