we are currently completing an EICR on a currently redundant ambulance station soon to be re-opened.

I've been asked to do some minor alterations to an out house which is supplied from CU in main house. Now the new CU in outhouse has RCD protected circuits but the supply from main house is not RCD protected. The cable is a 20m run in hightuf clipped to outside wall clearly visible. Should I put...
If I change a single pendant to spot lights and all cables are concealed in ceiling void there's no need for me to have to fit RCD to socket is there? There are cables concealed in wall obviously on circuit... Wall lights, switches etc. but as I'm not touching them is it my responsibility to add...
Hi all,
I have a question for you regarding UK law and RCD protection on radial circuits in a domestic property.
My mother lives in a council owned house which was converted from an old TB hospital in the 1960s.
All circuits in the property are radial not ring.
The property wiring is pre...
Any advice appreciated

Hi Guys,

Presumably theres some maths behind it?
And presumably the only exception is in a TT earthing System?
Cheers chaps

I'm testing a board that is TT but doesn't have an RCD as main switch, it has a standard 100A switch disconnector (60947-3). However, every circuit in the installation is RCBO protected. Is this ok?
Just to make matters a little more awkward the supply cable...
