try and make this as brief as poss. customer wants 4 extras sockets and 6 downlighters in bedroom. prob is, his CU is an old wylex 3036 8 way ,no RCD, and is going to be relocated and replaced when he has an extension built. it's in the back of a kitchen cupboard virtually impossible to work on...

Do all the breakers have to be changed to RCBO's
i have inspected a few 3 phase boards, none of them has RCD protection for ring, lighting circuits. I understand that this should be code 4 and not major problem.
but if i decide to add RCD for a ring, how to do that? just put it outside main board?

If I was to install a new shower for someone using an rcbo as theres no rcd protection would this be ok? What i mean is am I ok as long as the circuit I have installed is protected? Or would it be up to me to make sure there was protection for the other circuits?

I am right in assuming I change on a like for like basis an extractor fan on a lighting circuit with no rcd protection in a bathroom?
No additional wiring will be necessary.
And if I am right would it be a minor or installation certificate?

A customer has a big bedroom with only 1 pendant in the middle of the room, He asks you to make 2 lights in this room, making 2 pendants one either end of the bedroom.
