We have come across an installation with only two core cable supplying both switches, the earth is not used and only common and l1 are used on both switches. Can anybody supply a diagram of the wiring of such a system?

A quick question, I have an outside light controlled with a switch inside, iI has sensor fitted which works.
However when I switch the light on from the switch it flashes on and goes off once amd then the sensor works fine is this a loose connection or is it a timing issue??

Is it good practice in a new kitchen install to have fused spurs for each appliance, (washing machine, fridge, dishwasher)? If so, would they be 13A fuses? Thanks.

Had a mains isolation switch fitted (meter>dp switch>temporary cu unit) but I thought being a dp switch both live and neutral should be connected to the switch not just the live? Does anyone know why he'd have installed it this way with the separate neutral box, doesn't it defeat the point of...

Neutral may carry current in a conductor during normal operation? This confuses me. I thought that your neutral always carried current, that without it, you wouldn't have a complete circuit. What does this mean?

would a smoke alarm circuit be vunerable or give out false readings on the live insulation resistance test? or is it worth me just connecting the lives and testing to earth? well and the interconnecter.
