Hi people,
When notifying work on the niceic website I pay £1.50 to notify it then £1.50 for a guarantee. My question is can you get rid of the guarantee payment and how? Im doing a lot of single circuits for a new contract so although it doesn't seem a lot it will quickly add up over time...

I noticed in my paperwork that it refers to submitting a G83 - within 28days of commissioning, is this ontop of supplying the fits forms to your energy company ??
I assume the installer does this and sends it to your energy provider ???

Just registered online with NICEIC for the first time and waiting for the activation code to be posted to me. I already have hard copies of EIC for installations that I have done, but wonder what information would they need on the online form. Do I have to fill in an online EIC?
Cheers!
New control wiring for heating systems has to be notified to building control, but what and how do you fill in a certificate for this. I would like to be able to extend my scope of work but a bit confused.
Presumably you test the circuit up to the fused connection for the heating system but do...

Hi Guys, as a new member, and having gone through a few posts, found this site interestingly and informatively addictive, and really enjoying it.

This isn't intended to see who's right or who's wrong just to ask what are we putting on the forms for the questions we scratch our heads on? For a time now I sit and wonder if what I am notifying is correct and so thought I'd ask the censes of opinion. So.............

I went to a job today, the light circuit was protected by a mcb but no RCD. All of the light fittings and switches were metal. I told the house owner that she would be well advised to have an rcd fitted. She didnt seem too bothered. Would it be a bit over the top to issue a danger notification?
