Hi
Have little issue
Some Led lights have been wired incorrectly, instead of series the connection, it's connected in parallel. The supplied transformer/driver is 350ma constant and connected in series the lights are pulling 3v each. There are 9 lights in total and are set and can not be...
Just spotted this on my facebook feed :juggle2: and thought it may be a good exercise for people to have a go at.
What is the total resistance (Rt) of the circuit?
:book::)
Hi guys advice needed
i am on a job where there are going to be 3 pirs controlling around 12 lights the 3 pirs are just because of the layout of the room,these have to be wired through greggs this is a method I have never used before as have been doing heavy industry for past few years
can...
Just bouncing something off people here..
Got a job on, customer currently has a single phase 230v 16Amp commando socket he wants changed for a 32A ( Seemingly has a few machines in mind with a larger than 16A draw but below the full 32 that he's considering buying in...hasn't decided which yet...
Hi,
This is a question for anyone who can help with DC etc and Leisure Batteries.
I have a 500w load at 12v, made up of.
75w car stereo which includes 15w per Chanel, and 425w of LED lights.
I have 5x 100Ah Leisure Batteries all connected in Parallel, total of approx 500Ah.
My load is 500w...
Question is :
- The insulation resistance of two circuits is of 40M? an 36? respectively. When tested together what is the total insulation resistance:
answer is 19 ohms but how? can some one explain
Hi all.
Got another query regarding time lag switches.
One of my lads has fitted some led lights which are switched from multiple points via time lag type.
Normal switches were in use before and all worked ok.
Now the time lag switches are in place all lights are on constantly. (They work with...
Good Morning Gentleman
i have recently been testing house all of which are overhead supplies fed and the bog standard earth rod installation
however we had some serious earth path issues with a39 ohm earth rod when combined with the bonding taking it down to 0.27 ohms almost tncs then the...
Hi all
I am carrying out my assignment and a little stuck on this i have to work out the
Total inductance
and total capacitance
now I'm aware of the formulas for series and parallel inductors and capacitors but as you can see from the picture i have a series/parallel combination and I'm...
Hi guys, I have come across two problems today well acutely three so I will list them first..
1st
Testing a 4mm radial circuit today or so I thought! I asked the young lad to go to the end of line and take an r1+r2 reading. When he opened up the last point he said that there were four 2.5...
Hi, I am training to be an electrician. I am stuck on a question and wandering if someone could help me please the question is; two heating elements of 700 ohms and 300 ohms are connected in parallel. The total resistance of this circuit would be?
Now I think I might be looking into this too...
I am looking at producing a production light for filming using natural white light led strips. I will be using 3 5m reels rated at 12v and 2A/5m. I am looking at using 100cm length (therefore there will be 15 100cm lengths) and was wondering whether it is best to have them in series or parallel...
Hi all.
Noob forum member here.
Can I ask what is considered to be the correct method/s of connecting the tails from several LED downlights to the driver.
Specifically I have just found a constant current LED driver in a cupboard of my new house. It supplies power to 8 x 1W downlights in the...
Alright Chaps, I've a long corridor in an office block that I'm fitting some 360 PIR sensors to the lighting, I need the lights to come on all at once for all locations of the corridor but there is a blind spot so I'll need to fit 2 sensors... Is there a sensor out there that you can link...
Hi I was give this calculation to do! First have I done it right? And is this the same as calculating parallel circuits?
In a 230V DB 7 different circuit give out an installation resistance test of 200, 200, 150,100,50, 25 and 2.
I came up with
RT= r1+r2+r3+r4+r5+r6+r7
RT = 1/200 + 1/200 +...
Help with calculation please.
If separate cable measure : 10Ω, 5Ω, 5Ω, 4Ω and 2Ω what would it be in parallel?
I get this so far
1 1 1 1 1 1 = What happens next?
10 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 4 + 2
