The EICR documents that the mains...

Water comes in on 15mm copper where there is a 300mm length before it is then converted to PVC speedfit, this whole section is hidden in a...

Hi am i reading it right that before you carry out any electrical work out in domestic properties that these pipes have to be upgraded to 10mm earthing cable even if they are already bonded but in less then 10mm
I have got a refurb to rewire, the incoming water supply is in plastic pipe as is all pipework
in the premises run in walls and underfloor.Copper is only used to connect to radiators and taps

I can therefore omit the main bonding as long as...

Just a quick question. Doing a ccu change for my assesment and a swa is close to the gas meter and pipes. It is 50mm from pipes so that is ok but only around 10-15mm from the meter as it is run behind it up agaianst the wall, and following the on-site guide you need a seperation...
I've recently had a complete rewire. It's been a nightmare. Electrician called back once because cables not properly chased in and some wires left exposed. Now I am securring the floorboards he had taken up and cables are running in the same groove cut into the joists for the central heating...
I have to run some 6mm cable behind some copper pipes to a cooker switch and socket on the wall. Obviously I can't chase it into the wall behind the pipes, so is it acceptable to put an extra piece of cable sheath between the cable and the copper pipes to protect the cable?
Thanks.

Hi all, when connecting a new main bonding connector onto old water/gas pipes that are blue, do you clean the area on the pipe first? If so, what's best to use?
Had to fit water bonding cable today, out through wall along exterior at about 7ft high and back into consumer unit area.
is the 10mm cable fine unprotected at that height or do I have to enclose it. Also, if it is fine up there, then does anyone know of any clips from CEF that are strong...
