    Installing Earth Electrode Possible Gas/Water Pipes

    I've been asked to install an earth electrode. Do I need to check for pipes underneath where I propose to put the earth rod? Do I need to perform a CAT scan? I'm not entirely sure what a CAT scan is but if anyone is familiar with it, all information and advice is welcomed.
