Hello,
I recently came across this forum after some research regarding electrical courses. From what I've garnered so far, it's best to stay well away from the short intense 'courses'. I currently work for a trade supplier and have gained a real interest over a long period of time in electrical...

First time poster, but here we go.
My hot water tank cupboard in the bathroom was converted to a combi boiler.
This takes up much less room so there is space for other stuff, e.g. I had a shaver socket wired in to charge up my electric toothbrush. I think this is from the lighting circuit...

Since doing a bit of digging am i right in thinking that using jb's to branch off from a radial circuit for a single switch and associated lights is considered "old hat" nowdays. ?? Ive read the 17th ed recommends jb's be of the maintenance free type is they are non accessible, which is all...

Hi all,
Looking to wire several telephone points. One master telephone and two for sky boxes.
Would it be best to take a cable from the master telephone socket to a junction box then split it 2 ways?
Looking to use cat5e instead of telephone cable.
Cheers
